Emre Hüner Etching Series

The etching series we produced originates from Emre Hüner's Metasomatism-(a) project, bringing together personal and media memories of the 1999 İzmit and 1970 Gediz earthquakes. Investigating how memory is "etched" into the earth through destroyed buildings, underwater creatures, and petrochemical remnants, these artworks create a perfect conceptual harmony with the physical etching and printing process fundamental to the nature of etching.
